Luke Bryan could be headed to American Idol.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Bryan is one of three artists who could fill the remaining two vacant judging spots for the rebooted singing competition show. Others being considered are Lionel Richie and Charlie Puth.
Currently the only judge who has committed to the show is Katy Perry, who will make a reported $25 million. Last week, Ryan Seacrest also signed on to return as host.
American Idol is no stranger to country artists on their judging panel as Keith Urban served in the role from seasons 12 – 15. Bryan is also no stranger to singing competition shows as he served as an advisor to Blake Shelton’s team on The Voice this past season.
Auditions for the new American Idol begin August 17.
