When it comes to superstar artists such as Keith Urban, you may think they have done it all. However, that is not true, at least for Keith Urban, as he had never sang the National Anthem until Tuesday night (May 16).
Prior to the Nashville Predators game three matchup in the NHL’s Western Conference Finals, Ripcord artist Keith Urban performed the National Anthem for what he said was the first time ever.
In a video shared on social media, Urban, a native of New Zealand, said despite living in the United States for 25 years, he has never been asked to perform the National Anthem until the Predators extended the offer.
Throughout their playoff run, the Predators have been gaining attention for who sings the National Anthem prior to their games, as much as they have been for winning those games.
So far, country artists such as Luke Bryan, Vince Gill, Lady Antebellum, Little Big Town, Carrie Underwood and now Urban have all done the pre-game honors.
With the Predators two games away from the Stanley Cup, it will be interesting to see which country artist could be next!
