Carrie Underwood is ready to help fund an estimated 100 girls sports team all across the country!
Underwood’s fitness and lifestyle brand, CALIA by Carrie Underwood, has announced a partnership with Dick’s Sporting Goods with the plan to fund an estimated 100 girls teams across the country during the month of May. Through the crowdfunding platform DonorsChoose.org this partnership is pledging a $200,000 commitment to fully fund girls team sports projects.
“Sports were a big part of my life growing up, so it’s important to me that girls across the country get those same opportunities,” said Underwood in a press release.
The pledge marks the third Sports Matter donation that has been made on behalf of CALIA and Dick’s Sporting Goods. The previous two came in 2016.
“Through Sports Matter, CALIA and the Dick’s Foundation, we are empowering hundreds of girls across the country to learn, grow and dream, teaching them to do what they love later in life,” Underwood said.
