Since its inception in 2011, Blake Shelton has always been one of the four coaches on the hit music competition series The Voice. During his time on the show, a number of top artists such as Garth Brooks and Taylor Swift have made guest appearances, but there is one group the country superstar still wants to see on the show.

When asked by Access Hollywood who he would like to see occupy a rare fifth chair on The Voice, Blake Shelton said, “For me, the Village People, in like a booth.”
“Wouldn’t that be cool?” he added. “Or maybe Kool and the Gang.”
While he has been there since the beginning, Shelton’s time on The Voice may be coming to an end. Recently, he told Entertainment Tonight his days on the show are numbered. As too are his days of recording music.
“This next album I’m making is probably going to be my last album. So I’ve really got to decide what I want to do. This will be one of my last seasons of [The Voice] too.”
