Faith Hill isn’t afraid to admit it – she wants to slay like Bey every single day.
In a recent interview with Billboard, Faith Hill and her husband Tim McGraw talked about some fellow famous music couples, both from country music and other genres. When it came to discussing resident music power couple Jay Z and Beyoncé, Hill said she always performs as if she is Queen Bey.
“I go out there thinking ‘I am Beyoncé!'” Hill said. “The truth is, I want to be Beyoncé every single freaking night of my life.”
When it came to country power couples, McGraw and Hill talked about Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood. McGraw credited Brooks for opening the door for a lot of artists. “We all came here at the same time, but Garth is Garth and nobody can be Garth. He opened the door for a lot of us” he said.
McGraw and Hill are currently on their Soul2Soul Tour, which will run through October of this year. On August 18, they will bring the tour right here to our area when they perform at the Wells Fargo Center in South Philadelphia.
This tour marks only the third tour McGraw and Hill have done together, and the first in 10 years. It is also the first time Hill has been on tour at all since 2007.
