Eric Church was in attendance at the NCAA Final Four to cheer on the North Carolina Tar Heels and he did so with one of the greatest Olympians of all-time.
Swimmer Michael Phelps shared a photo on social media of him hanging out with the “Record Year” artist at the big event. In the photo Church looks a little different than we are used to seeing him. He traded in his signature leather jacket for a Tar Heels one and decided to forgo wearing the aviators we are so accustom to seeing him in.
Phelps’ encounter with Church was not just two stars casually bumping into each other. In fact, the 23-time Olympic gold medalist is actually a big fan.
Last week, Phelps and a few buddies, including former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels, attended one of Church’s shows.
Back in August of 2016, the two shared mutual admiration for one another after Phelps took home five gold medals at the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
