Little Big Town released their latest album The Breaker back in February and group members Kimberly Schlapman and Philip Sweet say they are proud of what they were able to create.
Little Big Town is “inspired by music” and they love to “push themselves.” These two things are more than evident by not only their latest album The Breaker, but also the album’s featured single “Better Man.”
As everyone knows “Better Man’ was penned by none other than Taylor Swift. The music superstar actually sent the track to Sweet himself, who at first wasn’t sure of what it was as Swift sent it to him via a “weird” e-mail address.
Once they realized what it was, Little Big Town told 92.5 XTU’s Razz on the Radio that they “instantly all fell in love with it.” They added the track had a “great country melody” and that it resembled the “brilliant songwriter” they all know and love.
At the 52nd ACM Awards, Little Big Town has been nominated for an award once again. They will go up against the likes of Eli Young Band, Lady Antebellum, Old Dominion and Rascal Flatts for Vocal Group of the Year.
