We all know now that Carrie Underwood has some major talent, but it looks like those in Fort Smith, Arkansas may have known way before us.
While Carrie Underwood has become one of the biggest stars in country music today, back in 1998 she was just a 15-year-old girl looking to make a name for herself. Recently, footage from a nearly 20-year-old performance has surfaced and boy was the “Church Bells” singer just as good then as she is now.
In the video, Underwood performs with a band called 71 South (A member of the band was actually the one who released the video). She “slows things down” as she sings Mindy McCready’s “Maybe He’ll Notice Her Now.”
Since her performance on that Arkansas stage, Underwood has gone on to sell out stadiums and arenas all across the globe. She has also won numerous awards, including seven Grammys.
