Brett Eldredge, Chris Stapleton and Darius Rucker will all be honored for the work they do in their hometowns.
As part of CMT’s hour-long Hometown Heroes special, all three artists will show how they give back to the communities in which they came from.
For Eldredge, he will travel back to Paris, Illinois and the baseball fields near where he grew up. The special will look at how the “Wanna Be That Song” singer refurbished local fields and even gave a surprise concert at his high school.
Paintsville, Kentucky is where Stapleton will travel back to. He will visit his high school and surprise the music program with new instruments and a new outdoor pavilion.
As for Rucker, his part of the special will focus on his return to Charleston, South Carolina where he will remodel and redecorate the teen room at MUSC Children’s Hospital.
Eldredge and Rucker will both be in our area later this year. In September, Eldredge will be a part of country superstar Luke Bryan’s show at Citizens Bank Park, along with artist Craig Campbell. Rucker will be in Philadelphia on April 28, as he will kickoff Military May for 92.5 XTU.
CMT Hometown Heroes will air March 31.
