Why wouldn’t they?
After seeing the success Little Big Town had with their Taylor Swift-penned song “Better Man,” Lady Antebellum now says that they want the pop star to write them something.
“I mean honestly Taylor, call us” Hillary Scott told the Charlotte Observer. “Like, we’re up for whatever.”
Charles Kelley added that if Swift does write them a song, it better be a hit. “I hope it would be number one. That’s all I want” he said. “It better go number one though. If we cut a song and it goes like number two, I’m going to be so disappointed.”
Little Big Town released “Better Man” in October of 2016. While it was not known at first that Swift had written the song for the country group, the news that she did quickly made its rounds.
“Better Man” has been well received since its release, even reaching the top of the Billboard Hot Country chart.
During Super Bowl weekend, Taylor Swift performed “Better Man” at what she called her one and only concert of 2017.
Lady Antebellum will return to our area when they perform at the BB&T Pavilion on June 23. Maybe by then they will have something new to perform courtesy of the Pennsylvania native.
