Miranda Lambert’s latest album, The Weight of These Wings, is a double album that features 24 songs, but the country superstar actual wrote 72 tracks for her latest project.
“I had a lot of fuel” Lambert said in a video posted to her Instagram. “I was probably going through one of the hardest times of my life.”
Lambert said moving to Nashville after having not lived in the country music capital for 10 years added to the fuel, as did the relationships she had cultivated.
The “Vice” singer decided on the 24 tracks that appeared on her seventh studio album because those 24 songs “showed themselves to be what needed to be said right now.”
