Kenny Chesney has followed in the footsteps of Dolly Parton to show his support for those affected by the Tennessee wildfires.
In a Facebook post Monday (December 5), the East Tennessee native said that he was thinking of everyone back in East Tennessee and that he was loving them “really hard right now.”
“East Tennessee is my heart and my soul” Chesney said. “I realize now that everyone over there is hurting and I want you to know that you’re in my heart and in my prayers.” The “Setting The World On Fire” singer went on to say “We’re going to do everything we can to make this better.”
In an attempt to make things better, Chesney shared a link to the Dollywood Foundation’s page where they are currently raising money for the efforts. Dolly Parton recently announced that in addition to her foundation’s My People Fund, she will also hold a telethon later this month in Nashville.
