Woah! What a surprise!
On Tuesday (November 15) night, Carrie Underwood made a surprise appearance at the famed Grand Ole Opry. Underwood showed up during country artist Crystal Gayle’s set to invite her to join the Opry family.
While there, Underwood also did what she does best and joined Gayle for a performance of “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.”
Gayle took to social media to say how honored and thrilled she was to be invited to join the Opry family. She also called Underwood “one of the best female vocalists ever.”
Underwood shared the moment on social media as well when she shared a picture of her and Gayle on stage together. “Tonight I had the incredible honor of singing with the one and only Crystal Gayle” she wrote. “I then had the even greater honor of asking her to join the Opry family officially as a member. What an amazing moment with an amazing woman!”
