On hand for the celebration at Prospector’s in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey were over 30 breast cancer survivors. During the afternoon of celebration, the survivors were treated to an appearance from our own Andie Summers of the XTU Moring Crew, as well as a performance by American Idol winner Trent Harmon.
Harmon has a direct connection with breast cancer, which made it even more special that he was on hand for Friday’s celebration. Harmon told the crowd that it was “so, so good” to be here before telling the story of how both of his grandmothers battled breast cancer.
Harmon explained that while both of his grandmothers were going through their battles, he would drive them to and from their treatments and talk to them about what they were going through as well as the music he was making, including his song “Hold On,” which he dedicated to all of the survivors at Friday’s celebration.
The afternoon concluded with all of the wonderful survivors who were in attendance meeting Harmon, shaking his hand and taking pictures with him.
