Chris Stapleton is one of the first winners at the 2016 CMA Awards.

Wednesday morning (November 2), it was announced that Chris Stapleton was one of the early winners of a 2016 CMA Award. His video “Fire Away” beat out other nominees “Burning House” by Cam, “Humble and Kind” by Tim McGraw, “Record Year” by Eric Church and “Somewhere On A Beach” by Dierks Bentley for Music Video of the Year.

Stapleton is one of the most nominated artists at this year’s CMA Awards. He is nominated in five categories including Single of the Year and Entertainer of the Year.

Last year’s CMA Awards served as a coming out party for the “Nobody To Blame” artist, as he won the awards for Album of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and New Artist of the Year.

The 50th anniversary of the CMA Awards will air on Wednesday, November 2.
