It is no secret that Darius Rucker is a big sports fan and over the weekend he found himself a part of a historic sports celebration.
This past weekend, the most important team golf event, the Ryder Cup, was held. In what was a their first victory since 2008, Team USA came out on top and country artists Darius Rucker was there to partake in the celebration.
Taking to social media, Rucker shared a photo of himself with the Ryder Cup trophy. “The greatest sports weekend of my life. Thank you Davis Love and Ryder Cup USA. Unfrigginbelievable!!!!!!!” he wrote.
Rucker was not just there for the celebration, rather he was there for most of the event. Earlier in the weekend, Rucker shared a photo of himself at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota where the event was held.
Of course with the U.S. team claiming their first victory in the biennial event since 2008, the celebration for the team of golfers was off the charts. However, while each of the individual golfers deserved to be the focus of the celebration, it was 27-year old Rickie Fowler who stole the limelight when a photo of him being the only member not celebrating with a post-win kiss went viral.
