On Saturday June 4, the BB&T Pavilion will be overtaken by country fans from all over the area for the 32nd 92.5 XTU Anniversary Show. One of the day’s performers will be Colt Ford, who has one improbable story.
A native of Athens, Georgia, Ford did not start his life in the music industry. In fact, before he became an artist, he was a professional golfer on the Nationwide Tour. Later in his life, Ford turned his attention to music and co-founded Average Joes Entertainment.
While with Average Joes Entertainment, Ford has released five albums since 2008. Four have reached the top-10 on the Billboard Country chart. In 2010, his sophomore album Chicken & Biscuits reached number eight on the charts. In 2011, his third album Every Chance I Get peaked at number three. One year later his fourth album Declaration of Independence went all the way to number one and in 2014 Thanks for Listening reached number two on the charts.
Come June 4, Ford will appear on the main stage at the Anniversary Show. Also performing on that stage will be Justin Moore and Brantley Gilbert.
