On January 2, 2015, Little Jimmy Dickens passed away from cardiac arrest.  Since his passing, country music has been sharing their stories and dedications to the country legend, including Charlie Worsham.

On January 3, 2015, Charlie Worsham posted a video to YouTube telling of his first experience performing at the Grand Ole Opry where the two shared a dressing room and Worsham says of Dickes, “He couldn’t have been nicer, friendlier or more open or more humble, I don’t believe country music ever had a better ambassador than it did with him. If you could embody the spirit of country music, it would be Little Jimmy Dickens, without a doubt.”

Worsham goes on to cover one of Dickens’ greatest hits, “Country Boy”, from early in his career.

After a viewing for Dickens on January 7th, a public celebration of life service is being held at the Grand Ole Opry on January 8, 2015.
